On this all in one package Mongolian Gobi overland tour, we would explore the great Mongolian Gobi, on foot, by 4x4 SUVs and on back of Bactrian camels! DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1-29th Feb 2020 - Arrive to Ulaanbaatar

Get picked up from Ulaanbaatar airport and transfer to hotel. Our guide would meet you at hotel lobby at 18:00 and you would have dinner at one of the known restaurants in downtown Ulaanbaatar city. stay at Hotel. (D-Dinner)

Day 2 - Driving to Khuvsgul lake.

After breakfast at hotel we would leave to khuvsgul lake by car at 8:00am. It is going to be a beautiful day with beautiful landscape that differs from one to the other in every 2-3 hours. We would drive through beautiful passes, mountains and canyons. it is going to be a long driving day most of the distance we would drive on asphalt road. Late afternoon we would get to Murun City (Khuvsgul province) and stay at Hotel. (BLD-Breakfast Lunch and Dinner)

Day 3 - ICE FESTIVAL

Ice festival has been organized by locals every year by beginning of March. A respite from the confinement of the winter months, the Ice Festival is a time to get outdoors and play games. The festival features a gathering of local residents and nomadic reindeer herders, and performances by shamans, musicians, and sportsmen. Competitions include ice sumo, a horse sledge race, ice skating races, tug of war between local teams, and a Russian Jeep race on the ice. Many traditional games are played on the sidelines, and this is an ideal venue for visitors to join fun games with local people. (BLD)

Day 4 - ICE FESTIVAL

We would join the festival until lunch time and would drive heading to Darkhan city afternoon. We would get there by quite late evening. (BLD)

Day 5- EAGLE FESTIVAL

We would leave Darkhan city early in the morning and drive to Ulaanbaatar for the eagle festival. Mongolian kazakhs are the one of the last people ​in world that they keep their unique traditional hunting style for thousands of years. about 20 selected Proud Kazakh eagle-hunters clad in thick fur and traditional attire descend to the capital to demonstrate the hunting performances of their trained eagles. Aged between 15 and 80, they compete against each other with their hunting bird’s speed, accuracy and agility. Prizes are awarded for things such as best trainer, fastest bird, most beautiful traditional attire and other competitions. We would stay at hotel in Ulaanbaatar (BLD)

Day 6 - Driving to Dalanzadgad

Opposite to the direction to the north that we have been last couple days, we would drive heading to south of Mongolia, to the gobi desert on paved road. Steppes, different landscapes and an adventurous drive... stay at hotel in Dalanzadgad. (BLD)

DAY 7-8 - Camel Festival

We would drive to Bulgan village to attend the "Thousand Camel Festival" which is organized by a local non-governmental organization working to protect and preserve the Bactrian camel population. Highlights of the festival include camel races, performances by traditional Mongolian musicians and dancers, and visits to significant paleontological and cultural sites of the Gobi. We would stay at ger camp for one night at the camel festival site. *Ger means Mongolian nomad tent. (BLD)

DAY 9 - Driving back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast at hotel we would drive heading back to Ulaanbaatar. It is going to be a 7- 8 hours of drive from Dalanzdagad with stops on the way. By late afternoon we would get to our hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Farewell dinner. (BLD)
